Absolutely. Gumbrini was created with exactly digital nomads. For those who manage and work online. Reliable internet, coworking facilities, an international community and easy access to nature make it an ideal place to live and work remotely. Many residents work full-time remote jobs and use Gumbrini as both their temporary home and office. Developers, designers, entrepreneurs, consultants and other online professionals regularly stay here.

If you're looking for a place where you can work productively, live close to nature, meet interesting people, and become part of a small international community, Gumbrini may be exactly what you're looking for. 

We consider ourselves an eco-friendly project because the sharing economy model itself naturally reduces environmental impact: fewer individual purchases, less duplicated infrastructure, and more shared use of resources, spaces, and goods.

This is reinforced by our everyday practices: we sort waste (PET, batteries, compost, corks), use natural and durable materials, focus on repairing and reusing instead of buying new, minimize single-use plastic, and are mindful of water and energy consumption while using energy-efficient solutions. We also develop our garden and plant trees and plants.

We further reduce our footprint by limiting transport impact — we do not own a car, we use public transportation, and we combine trips and activities whenever possible.

Overall, sustainability for us is not a separate initiative, but a natural outcome of how the community lives: simpler, more shared, and more conscious in resource use.

Kutaisi International Airport is approximately 22 km from Gumbrini.
A taxi from the airport is about $15. 

A taxi from Kutaisi city center usually costs around $4, while a ride from the airport is about $15. We strongly recommend using ride-hailing apps such as Bolt, Yandex Go, or Taxi Maxim to avoid overpriced rides. 

Tskaltubo is just 3 km away and offers cafés, restaurants, grocery stores, and a local market. Kutaisi, Georgia's third-largest city, is only 8 km away. 

We offer four accommodation options: a 4-bed dormitory, a comfortable tent on a wooden deck in the garden, a private room with a shared bathroom, and a private room with an en-suite bathroom.

our stay includes accommodation, all utilities, 24/7 coworking access, high-speed Wi-Fi, complimentary tea and coffee, participation in community events, access to the garden, fresh bed linen every 10 days, and cleaning of shared spaces. 

Yes. Every guest receives a pillow, blanket, bed linen, and a towel. 

Gumbrini is intentionally small and personal. Usually there are no more than 11–13 people on site, including the hosts. 

Laundry for personal items is charged separately (2 GEL for the Daily cycle and 5 GEL for other programs). Some optional activities that involve extra costs for transportation, food, or materials may require a contribution. For example, participation in our Friday BBQ is typically 18 GEL. 

The coworking space is bright and spacious, filled with plants and large panoramic windows overlooking the garden. It offers 8 workstations, a dedicated call room, a lounge area with a sofa, and additional outdoor workspaces on the balcony and in the garden bar. 

We do not yet have a dedicated silent zone, although it is part of our future plans. For calls and meetings, guests can use the call room. Many residents also enjoy working outdoors in the garden, where it is often especially peaceful.

Yes. We have two external monitors available for rent. A 23-inch monitor costs $25 per month. 

Absolutely. You can work from the garden bar, the balcony, or other outdoor spots around the property. Many guests enjoy switching between indoor and outdoor workspaces throughout the day. 

We do not offer a shared guest kitchen. Our kitchen is relatively small and serves as the hosts' working area. Shared meals are an important part of the Gumbrini experience, helping create the friendly, family-like atmosphere that brings people together and makes the coliving feel like a community rather than just a place to stay. 

Meal plans are available at the following rates:

• Breakfast + lunch: 27 GEL per day

• Breakfast only: 9 GEL per day

• Lunch only: 18 GEL per day (prepaid)

For occasional meals purchased separately:

• Breakfast: 11 GEL

• Lunch: 20 GEL

Yes. Tea and coffee are available free of charge. If you are a dedicated coffee enthusiast with specific preferences or a high daily consumption, you may want to bring or purchase your favorite coffee separately. 

There are no cafés within walking distance. However, both Tskaltubo and Kutaisi can be reached in 10–20 minutes by public transport and offer a wide range of cafés, restaurants, bakeries, and local food spots. 

A small family-run grocery store is located about 500 meters away. Larger supermarket chains, including Daily and Ori Nabiji, can be found in Tskaltubo, approximately 2–2.5 km from Gumbrini. 

Gumbrini has an open, welcoming, and supportive community. We encourage inclusion rather than cliques, so every resident naturally becomes part of the same circle. Many guests arrive alone and quickly feel at home. 

Community life at Gumbrini is relaxed and organic. Typical weekday evenings may include board games, creative workshops, DIY projects, drawing sessions, or conversations around the fire. Every Friday we host a BBQ evening, often combined with darts, karaoke, or guest-led activities. About once a month we organize a group hike to the Sataplia Nature Reserve. From time to time we also hold plov parties, camping nights in the forest, and community dinners where everyone cooks together.

Not at all. Participation is completely optional. We believe in natural connections rather than forced networking, so you are free to join activities whenever you feel like it. But perhaps your participation will make the evening special for everyone. 

Yes. Because Gumbrini is a small coliving, people naturally get to know each other. Shared meals, coworking, and community activities make it easy to connect. Many guests leave with friendships that continue long after their stay. 

Fresh bed linen is provided every 10 days at no extra cost. Personal laundry is available for a small fee: 2 GEL for the Daily cycle and 5 GEL for other washing programs. 

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own bicycle. We also offer bicycle rentals, with monthly rates ranging from $60 to $90 depending on the model. 

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Gumbrini is already home to several resident cats and a dog, and introducing additional animals could create stress for both pets and wildlife. Bringing stray animals onto the property is strictly prohibited. 

Yes. Our on-site Nomads Bar, The Moon, serves wine, beer, and other drinks. It is a popular place for evening gatherings, community events, and even relaxed outdoor work sessions during the day. 

Our main house rules are simple:

• Quiet hours after 11:00 PM

• Help keep shared spaces clean and comfortable

• Smoking only in designated areas

• Respectful, friendly, and non-toxic communication

Within walking distance, you'll find the Sataplia Nature Reserve, famous for its cave, panoramic viewpoint, and preserved dinosaur footprints. Nearby Tskaltubo is known for its abandoned Soviet-era sanatoriums, while Kutaisi, one of Georgia's oldest cities, is just 8 km away. 

Yes. The forest begins right behind the property, and several walking and hiking routes start practically from your doorstep. 

Absolutely. The region offers panoramic views over the Rioni Valley, forest trails, canyons, caves, abandoned sanatoriums in Tskaltubo, and the historic streets of Kutaisi. 

Yes. Many residents spend their weekdays working remotely and use evenings or weekends to explore the surrounding region, hike, and discover local attractions. 

Most guests are digital nomads and stay between two weeks and three months, although some choose to stay even longer.  In 2025, guests stayed at Gumbrini for an average of 32 days. 

The earlier, the better. Gumbrini is a small coliving, and availability can become limited, especially during popular travel seasons. 

You can cancel a booking, but the booking service fee is non-refundable once it has been paid. Please refer to the details above for more information. 

 Yes. The hosts live on-site and actively participate in community life, helping create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all residents. 

Summers in western Georgia can be warm, but the surrounding forest and greenery create a more comfortable microclimate than in urban areas. 

Citizens of many countries can stay in Georgia visa-free for up to one year. We recommend checking the latest requirements for your nationality before traveling. 

Gumbrini may not be the right fit for people looking for luxury accommodation, big-city nightlife, or a highly structured entertainment program. It is best suited for those who value nature, community, focused work, and a more intentional way of living.
